Today we have Cassandra from Book & Movie Dimension a Blog with us!
How long have you been blogging?
I have been blogging since March 2011. So what happened was one day was searching for a way to get free books by somehow reviewing since as a huge book lover have always held an interest in writing reviews of books. At the time, Gooreads.com had come into my life so won a few books which vigorously read and quickly wrote reviews for but it just wasn't enough. My thirst for discovering new finds in books was foremost in my mind. And with blogging not only could I experience new books out there that were obviously not given enough attention but could do it while letting others know too.
What inspired you to start?
The inspiration to start was from a website or blog, not sure which, that had a contest going on for a Paranormal Romance book that really wanted to read asked me to enter as one of the several entries to win was to blog about the book contest. Quickly searching on Google about it then saw Blogger and set out to make a blog. It was quite a moment. And overwhelming. It made no sense to me there just was this power available to share content with people which was incredibly liberating. I loved it and still do.
What types of books do you feature on your blog?
When first began featured primarily Paranormal Romance, Young Adult, Science Fiction, and Fantasy orientated novel reviwes. But now all book genres.
What unique perspective, or events does your blog provide?
The idea of being opened to new experiences in terms of approaching books since you never know how fantastic they might turn out. Have seen that with Julie Kagawa's Iron Fey series which had pinpointed as a YA Fantasy series that would probably not be particularly good. Only to read it and become one of the biggest fans of Julie's books. Just loved the series so much that reviewed some e-book exclusives: of The Iron Fey.
Some of the things that enjoy doing on the blog is T.V. Casual Talk blog posts which highlight some t.v. series that find immensely interesting and get the urge to write about so a blog drifter would meet a new television show to watch.
What do you enjoy doing when you are not blogging?
I enjoy reading, of course, web/blog surfing, eating quite a lot, watching movies and t.v., and just gazing at the outdoors.
Finally, if you could recommend one book that you've read recently, what would it be?
This is a hard one since currently read 4 books at various stages to later review and have had so many that happen to see in high praise.
Let's see, yes, Brooklyn Story by Suzanne Corsi. Its a beautiful book in which the author brings it her all.
It was a book that took me a while to get to after publicist , Mary, sent it to me. Sorry for taking so long Mary. Should have read it sooner!Thank you, Cassandra, for taking the time to share with us! Be sure to stop by Book & Movie Dimension!
